Ofelia Loref de Mola was born and raised in Yucatan, Mexico. In 1995, she moved to NY thanks to a scholarship from FONCA. She holds a BFA in Dance Performance and an MFA in Choreography from the Conservatory of Dance at Purchase College State University of New York where she studied with Kazuko Hirabayashi. Ms. Loret de Mola is the recipient of many awards such as the MFA Outstanding Graduate Award, Dean's Award, Who's Who Award, Bert Terborgh Dance Award, Susan Kaskell Award, among others.
