Writer and philosophy professor Muriel Barbery was born in Casablanca, Morocco on May 28, 1969 and raised in France. She attended the �cole Normale Sup�rieure de Fontenay-Saint-Cloud from 1990 to 1993 and then taught philosophy at the Universit� de Bourgogne, in a lyc�e, and at the Saint-L� IUFM. Barbery has published the bestselling novels L'�l�gance du h�risson (The Elegance of the Hedgehog) and Une Gourmandise (Gourmet Rhapsody).
