Janis is usually uncovering stories for the Detroit Free Press where she writes for "Yak's Corner," a magazine for young readers. She has worked for the newspaper for 12 years. Janis grew up in Battle Creek, Michigan, and graduated from Michigan State University with a degree in journalism. For nearly 20 years Janis has been vacationing in charming Frankfort, a tiny town she calls on eof hte state's "hidden treasures." She eventually moved to Frankfort with her husband and two children. She continues to contribute to "Yak's Corner" but also keeps busy working on book projects.
Wendy is an accomplished mural artist and her work is featured in the homes of Mr. And Mrs. Benson Ford, the children's rooms at the Manoogian Mansion, on of the former Detroit Pistons players, and many other well-known families throughout Michigan. Wendy has also designed rugs for Stark Carpet and has had some of her paintings featured and sold in The Elizabeth Stone Gallery in Birmingham, Michigan. Her work has also been featured at the Junior Leagues of Detroit and Birmingham, and appropriately she has been the artist at the fairy tea parties at the Townsend Hotel in Birmingham, Michigan. Wendy was born and raised in Dearborn, Michigan, and resides in the Detroit area with her husband… Michael and her two cats, Pinkuss and Jack.
