Barbara Crooker is the author of more than six hundred poems published in over 1750 anthologies, books, and magazines such as Yankee, The Christian Science Monitor, Smartish Pace, The Beloit Poetry Journal, Nimrod, and others. The recipient of numerous awards, including the 2007 Pen and Brush Poetry Prize, the 2006 Ekphrastic Poetry Award from Rosebud Magazine, and the 2004 WB Yeats Society of New York Award, Crooker has been nominated for the Pushcart Prize twenty-six times, and her poems have been featured regularly on Garrison Keillor's The Writer's Almanac.
