Craig Smith grew up with a love of science-fiction, fascinated with the planets and the stars - but his working life has been firmly on the Earth, helping children from toddlers to teens to grow, emotionally, physically, and mentally, and to not drift too far from the grounding of their own lives. He has been an educator, playworker, and is currently a therapist. Craig loves the sparks which fly when imagination tussles with reality, when theory comes into practice, and when science wrestles with day-dreams. Craig believes that philosophy and stories can radically transform people's lives, offering people fresh perspectives and helping to tease out the magic which is in the world all around… us. Craig also believes that the view we take and the tales we tell can help enormously with the downs as well as the ups in life. Charlie couldn't agree more!
Mark Lehner is Research Associate at The Oriental Institute, University of Chicago, and the Harvard Semitic Museum. He has been Director of the Giza Plateau Mapping Project since 1984.
