Ann McCallum is the author of several books, including the upcoming Eat Your Math Homework: Recipes for Hungry Minds. She is currently a high school teacher in Maryland, though she started her teaching career in a one-room schoolhouse in northern Canada.

Leeza Hernandez is an illustrator whose art has been featured in magazines, newspapers, and books, including Never Play Music Right Next to the Zoo, Dog Gone!, and Eat Your Math Homework. She is the recipient of the Tomie dePaola Portfolio Award from the Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators. In middle school, Leeza chose the flute to play for the school orchestra, but was handed a cello instead. Leeza lives in central New Jersey with her family of musical mammals.
