Carol Tyler was born and raised in Chicago and now a resident of Cincinnati. She was one of the first women to emerge from the underground comix movement. Her 2005 collection, Late Bloomer, created after abandoning comics for nearly 20 years, was named in several end-of-the-year �best of� lists.
