Joseph A. Arrigo, a New Orleans author and artist, has written and illustrated several books about the South. He is the author of Mississippi Gulf Coast Scenes and The French Quarter and Other New Orleans Scenes, as well as the author and illustrator of Steamboats on the River Coloring Book, Historic Natchez Homes Coloring Book, and The Louisiana Plantation Coloring Book, all published by Pelican. Arrigo passed away in April 2002.
