<p Ron Evans was born in Saskatchewan in 1936. With the exception of four years in a parish, his working life was spent as a chaplain and teacher in psychiatric and general hospitals in Houston, California, and Saskatchewan. In another life, he would ask to have the courage to be an actor or join the circus; as it was he got only as far as the church. He and his wife Norma live at Shields, a village south of Saskatoon on the edge of Blackstrap Lake in Saskatchewan.</p

At my father's table
"Years ago down east ..."
Significant weather
Howling at the moon
In the beginning was the dream
The night God played at Danceland
At the jazz concert
They come in threes
Peace be with you
Why is it the good ones go first?
Trick or treat
A kind of hope
Relax and purr
Better a happy house
Of saints and other things
Remembering the queen's toilet
The only subject
A love story
Every so often I need reminding
Of poppy seed and cabbage rolls
A letter received
Coming home
A sewer went out to sow
Glory, glory how peculiar
In the space between
What name shall we give this child?
I took some comfort there
At prayer
Breakfast at Peter D's
From a distance
Let your light so shine
In gratitude
A time beyond fixing
A good funeral
Dust to dust
At the gas station
