Dr. Noel Casiano, is an Adjunct Clinical Faculty in the Marriage and Family Therapy Program at Central Connecticut State University. Dr. Casiano teaches courses in Human Development Across the Life Span, Dysfunctional Family Process, Systems Perspective on Mental Disorder (DSM5) and School Based Mental Health. Dr. Casiano is the Program Coordinator for the CCSU/Ana Grace Project's School Based Clinical Services Program. Dr. Casiano oversees and supervises the research, clinical work and implementation with the designated Love Wins Schools in New Britain, CT. Dr. Casiano also supervises practicum and internship students from CCSU's MFT and Psychology Program. Dr. Casiano obtained his… Bachelor's Degree in Sociology with a minor in Criminal Justice from Central Connecticut State University. Dr. Casiano then obtained a Master's Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy also from Central Connecticut State University and is Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with the State of CT. Dr. Casiano then obtained a Doctorate Degree in Clinical Psychology from California Southern University. Dr. Casiano is a clinical fellow with the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapy (AAMFT) and the Connecticut Association of Marriage and Family Therapy (CTAMFT). Also, Dr. Casiano is an AAMFT Approved Supervisor. Dr. Casiano is also completing a certification in the Neurosequential Model of Therapeutics (NMT) with the Child Trauma Academy. Dr. Casiano currently teaches principles of the Neurosequential Model of Education to his school based CCSU MFT and Psychology interns. Dr. Casiano also completed the Brain Story Neuroscience Certificate Program with the Alberta Wellness Initiative. Dr. Casiano's clinical areas of research and interests are in the neuroscience of attachment, addictions and trauma. Dr. Casiano conducts research and provides professional development workshops and training opportunities to community organizations, colleges and universities, clinical agencies, school systems, state and federal agencies.
