With a Fine Arts degree from Principia College, a Master's degree with honors from Rhode Island School of Design, 80-some exhibitions and numerous painting awards to her credit, decades of teaching all ages, Christian Science Class Instruction, and work towards a Master's degree in Spiritual Direction at NYC's The General Theological Seminary of the Episcopal Church, Gwendolyn currently paints, writes, teaches and prays in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, as she has in numerous places she's called home throughout her life. Having raised three children-and having taught many others for decades-the author knows a mother's challenges as well as those of any woman living in a still largely… patriarchal-corporate society. Previously owner of The Fisherville Studio of Fine Arts, north of Memphis, Tennessee, and later, Shawnee Falls Studio, Gallery & Guesthouse, an 18th century B&B in Shawnee-on-Delaware, Pennsylvania, the author creates, cooks (see her cookbook, Bodacious Breakfasts and More), organically gardens, makes home beautiful, opens her painting gallery to the public via her website www.gwendolynevans.com, and practices an eclectic spirituality with the goal of helping others whose paths are as varied as her own.
