Flowers has always been an interest to the Author, Mary K. Hukill. Even as a child I worked with my parents each spring where the Flowers or Vegetables would be planted in the back yard, front yard, or on the sides of the House. A planned out plot would be done and I would get help from my Brother, Buddy, to fill in what plants needed to be where. It was the usual Spring ritual. When a Greenhouse was added to the House, it gave plenty of room to do starters. I've even had the great chance to water the flowers, as a Volunteer, at our town's outdoor Amphitheatre, called Mesker Amphitheatre, for six years. My Mom and Brother helped me and some Friends Volunteer time watering, weeding, and… planting the Flowers there. Four wonderful businesses kept in there for ten years and provided fresh flowers and plants to have when shows were done at Mesker Amphitheatre. The guests to the shows loved the flowers. It was certainly a highlight to my Volunteer life.In my current town, Decades ago I helped with about 15 others form a Writing Guild where I was the first Vice President for two years and later became the President. There was a lot of growth the first few years and I am proud of how many in our Tri-state area came to become members. What an Honor and my pleasure. When in college I wrote short comical essays that were published periodically in our newspaper and also later wrote more essays that were topical in nature as I got older. Now, I want to get the awareness out to cities and towns across the World to beautify their areas, or corners of the World, so that we do have something in common, in this ever changing World, that we can all agree...........Flowers are a common Language among us all, just like Music, Art, and, sometimes Food.I have been in Financing for almost 20 years and certainly that Field has changed a lot. I was born in the southern States of the USA and currently live in the Midwest the past several decades. I love Sunny weather, a good Movie, a Great Book, bring on the sweet Tea, and Super Music. Have a Great Flower Day!
