Margie J Pittman was born in Charleston West Virginia to Jesse and Jane Pittman. Jesse was a coal miner. She grew up in the coal camps of theCampbell's Creek area. These are tales of that life, and of others that grew up in the camps. Margie has written and told stories all her life. She isan accomplished song writer and gospel singer. Tho this is the fist book that she has published, she has written numerous books. She currently lives inSouth Carolina where she writes for and sings with a gospel group named Soul Winning Station. She is also the producer of their CDs.
