David was raised on a small farm in the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina. He learned to find edible plants and proteins from the land at an early age. He learned to trap, hunt, and cook wild food while growing up in the mountains. His family raised, killed, skinned, dressed, processed, preserved, and ate the meat of animals from their farm. David formally educated himself in wilderness survival foods and medicinal plants in his teens, although, much of his early survival education came through the unwritten survival techniques he learned from his Native American ancestors and the old-timers in the mountains. David learned which plants and wild foods he liked and which he would rather… not care to try ever again. He learned how to catch wild birds and animals and prepare them for eating, all without the aid of modern weapons or tools. He shares with you his native skills and knowledge in the pages of "Survive Until The End Comes."David became heavily involved in emergency medicine just out of high school. He became an emergency medical technician at 18, a paramedic at 21, and worked full-time at a large county medical rescue service, all while attending college. David worked in heavy rescue ambulances fully-equipped with the latest rescue gear, including high angle rescue and scuba gear. David and his partner could take a patient off the side of a cliff or out of the deepest lake. They could rip a family out of a crashed car and treat their injuries. They could give medications for a heart attack or the abuse of sugar, all under a doctor's orders, of course.David has delivered babies, helped remove people from burning buildings, and watched people die in his arms when there was nothing more he could do for them. You will learn from his many experiences as a medical rescue professional in the pages of "Survive Until The End Comes."David has owned his own successful small business for the past 15 years. He shares some of his valuable financial survival experience with you in the chapters on money, debt, bartering, and cutting back.David readily admits that he's not the greatest writer, but he does have a lot of information to share that you will find of value.
