Katie Leone was born Keith Leonard and was raised in New York City. At 15 she attended high school in Dunedin, Florida where she was heavily involved with the church youth group and wrestling team.She is a Graduate of Cumberland (Tn.) University with a degree in early childhood growth and learning. While writing hard hitting prose ondifficult,sometimes controversial subject matters that cut straight to the heart of the issue, Katie mixes deep emotions with realistic characters.Currently residing in Tampa, Ms. Leone has worked as a teacher, a minister, a life coach and was on the Board of directors of a local charity that aided recently released inmates with no place to go with housing and… skills to insure their transition back into mainstream society.Currently she is transitioning to female with the help of friends and her counselor. Though it isn't easy, it is something she feels that she must do.Her major works include the God Bless the Child trilogy (Which includes God Bless the Child, Growing Up Jenny, and Finding Jenny.)
