Coy H. Johnston is a professor in the School of Criminology and Criminal Justice at Arizona State University ASU). nbsp; He earned his Bachelor's degree in business management at University of Phoenix and his Master's degree in community counseling from Northern Arizona University. nbsp; He has been a nationally certified counselor since 2004. nbsp; For more than 27 years Johnston worked in law enforcement specializing in sexual crimes and domestic violence. nbsp; During his career he co-organized several non-profit organizations and specialized law enforcement programs and networks. Noteworthy awards during his law enforcement career included the Distinguished Service Award of Victims of Crime and a Certificate of Recognition from Arizona Governor Janet Napolitano for the Law Enforcement DV Roundup. nbsp; Johnston has served on the governor's grant approval committee for STOP and RECOVERY grants since 2007. nbsp; Since retiring from law enforcement in 2007, Johnston has taught psychology and criminal justice classes at University of Phoenix, ITT Technical Institute, Chandler-Gilbert Community College, Everest College, The CARLOTA Police Academy, and Arizona State University. nbsp; This book is his third official publication.
