Cathy Henry is a graduate of Purdue University. She is currently teaching second grade in Indianapolis, Indiana. Also, she is a partner at The Curriculum Corner (www.thecurriculumcorner.com), an educational web site which provides free resources to elementary teachers. She has written this book to act as a mentor text during writing workshop instruction in the classroom. Cathy had the help of her young son, Spencer, in creating this book. His imagination led to the invention of a real pet rock named Rocky. Spencer is the illustrator of this book and is very excited to share his first published art!
