I was born in Tennessee in 1953. I was named after a pretty girl my dad went to school with. Dad had just gotten out of the army and moved back to his hometown with his new wife and his first child on the way. When I was only three months old mom and dad moved back to the Pacific Northwest so dad could find work. This was also where all my cousins, aunts and uncles, and my grandpa and Grandma Jo lived. When I was five years old my little sister was born. I loved her very much. I still do.At the age of seven I was heartbroken when my mom and dad sold almost everything and bought a big tent so we could move to the Gallipolis Islands. We left my Grandma Jo and my cousins and drove all the way… down to Southern California to met the ship that would take us to the island. But that is another story.I grew up in California and met my future husband in the seven grade. Now if you want a story here is one! My husband and I dated a couple of different times and were even engaged to be married in our mid twenties but I chickened out. Thirty years later we met up again. When he asked me to marry him again I didn't hesitate! Remind me to tell you about that sometime.I am back in the Pacific Northwest and live in North Idaho with my husband Lynn and our two Beagles Shlomo and Samuel. We have one daughter, Valerie, four grandchildren, and two great granddaughters. My knack for getting into trouble has followed my oldest grandchild, Gene Alan, my third grandchild age 23, Bailey Marie, and my youngest great granddaughter age 17, Aylee Skye, my youngest great granddaughter age 1 and a redhead. Looks like I will have plenty more to write about.I do have to mention my other grandchildren. Even though they don't usually get into trouble I don't want them to feel like they are being left out. You do know the ones in trouble get the most attention don't you?My second grandchild, Hillary Ann, lives with us so she could finish up her collage classes. My youngest grandchild, Justice James, is very quiet and a really nice young man.My oldest great granddaughter, Jaylah Lynn is a beautiful three year old.I hope I can be to my grandchildren and my great granddaughters what my Grandma Jo was to me.
