Corinne Thompson was a four-year letter-winner in volleyball (1983-1987) at George Washington University and a three-year starting setter. During her senior year she was co-captain of her squad, Atlantic 10 "Player of the Week," selected to both the A-10 all-conference and all-tournament second team and the NCAA All-Northeast Region team. Her jumping ability helped her to become the only right-side blocker in GW's history to hold an individual career record for solo blocks in the top 10. In 1999 she was inducted into GW's Athletic Hall of Fame. Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., and raised in Chappaqua, N.Y., she excelled in volleyball, basketball, softball and track at Horace Greeley High School.…
