Elizabeth Townes has been beading since March 2003 when she and her young daughter started BeadJeweled, Inc. At first she began with stringing, but she was soon intrigued with the endless possibilities offered by seed beads. Elizabeth began teaching classes at local bead shops in the fall of 2003 and then progressed to teaching at the national level.In the early 70s, Elizabeth worked as a designer and patternmaker in the fashion industry in Miami. She has always been involved in some form of creative endeavor, from cross stitch to needlepoint to quilting, but she finally found her niche in designing with seed beads and bead weaving.Elizabeth�s bead designs have won awards at major… competitions including Bead Dreams and Fire Mountain Gems. One of her designs is touring England for a year as part of an exhibit of the Royal Horticultural Society.This book showcases mosaic designs using the new tiny cube shaped seed beads. Elizabeth�s inspiration comes from Italian mosaic floors and tiles as well as pictures from nature.
