Tanya Provines earned an Associate Degree in Commercial Art from N.E.O., A. & M. College in Miami, OK, in 1981. She earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree from the University of Oklahoma in Norman, OK, in 1983. She was an illustrator/photographer at Tinker Air Force Base, from 1983 to 1988, and was awarded a Sustained Superior Performance Award, in 1985.
