She is better known for starring as Miley Stewart/Hannah Montana in the television series Hannah Montana on the Disney Channel. Her father, Billy Ray Cyrus, is a long-time country singer who also stars in the Hanna Montana series. She was born in Nashville, Tenessee. In 2008, she was listed among artists and entertainers as one of Time magazine's 100 Most Influential People in The World. Forbes magazine ranked her #35 on "The Celebrity 100" list with earnings of over $25 million dollars in 2008.
