Leger Grindon is Professor of Film and Media Culture at Middlebury College. He is the author of #60;i#62;Shadows on the Past (#60;/i#62;Temple UP, l994). His book about the boxer and boxing in Hollywood cinema, is forthcoming from OUP. His essays and reviews have appeared in journals such as #60;i#62;Film Quarterly#60;/i#62;, #60;i#62;Cinema Journal#60;/i#62;,#60;i#62; Film History,#60;/i#62; and #60;i#62;The Velvet Light Trap#60;/i#62;. He served as the Secretary-Treasurer of the Society of Cinema Studies from 1990-92.

Leger Grindon, Middlebury, Vermont, is a professor of film studies at Middlebury College where he has taught since 1987. He is the author of "Shadows on the Past: Studies in the Historical Fiction Film" and "Hollywood Romantic Comedy: Conventions, History, Controversies."
