Blair P. Grubb, Blair P. Grubb grew up in Baltimore, Maryland. He earned his degree from the University of Pennsylvania, specializing in cardiovascular disease and electrophysiology. He became a Professor of Medicine and Pediatrics at the Medical College of Ohio in Toledo in 1988. Since then, Grubb has researched the causes of fainting and autonomic nervous system disorders. Grubb has written over 130 scientific papers and was coeditor of a textbook on fainting entitled, "Syncope: Mechanisms and Management," which was published in 1988. In 1994, he received the University of Maryland's Distinguished Alumnus Award and in 1996 received the Medical College's Dean's Award for Teaching… Excellence. Grubb also writes poetry and prose.
