Author Ron Fontes grew up in Clarksville, Tennessee and started drawing comics at the age of 16. He studied art and theatre in college and worked as an advertising art director in Nashville, Tennessee before moving to New York City. He also worked for Whitman and as an art director for Marvel Comics. Currently he and his wife Justine Korman write children's books. They have written over 400 books for major publishers.
