Ana Mar�a P�rez-Giron�s is an adjunct Professor of Spanish oat Western University, Middletown, Connecticut. She received a Licenciatura en Filolog�a Anglogerm�nica from the Universidad de Sevilla in 1985, and her M.A. in General Linguistics from Cornell University in 1988. Her professional interests include second language acquisition and the integration of cultural competence and technology in language teaching

Virginia M. Ad�n-Lifante is Lecturer and Coordinator of the Spanish language courses at the University of California, Merced. She received her Licenciatura en Filolog�a Hisp�nica from the Universidad de Sevilla in 1987, and her Ph.D. in Hispanic Languages and Literatures from the University of California, Santa Barbara in 1997. Dr. Ad�n-Lifante has served as reviewer of several Spanish language manuals and she has published numerous reviews and articles in professional journals such as La Torre, The Bilingual Review, Gestos, Revistas de Estudios Norteamericanos, South Central Review, and Revista de Estudios Hisp�nicos.
