George Lawson is an Associate Professor of International Relations in the Department of International Relations at the London School of Economics and Political Science. His research focuses on the interface between international relations and historical sociology, and on processes of radical change, most notably revolutions. He is the author of Negotiated Revolutions (2005) and editor of The Global 1989 (Cambridge University Press, 2010, with Chris Armbruster and Michael Cox).
