Matt McCleery (born November 8, 1969) is a specialist in the business of ship financing. He joined Marine Money International in 1996 as Managing Editor and has been its President since 2001. Mr. McCleery also currently serves as Managing Director of Blue Sea Capital, Inc., where he has advised on shipping transactions valued at approximately $1 billion. He has been a member of the Board of Directors of two NASDAQ-listed international shipping companies. Mr. McCleery is the author of The Shipping Man (Marine Money 2011), a novel about a hedge fund manager's adventures in the international shipping industry.
