Jennifer Curry, PhD, is Assistant Professor of Counselor Education at Louisiana State University. She has served as a professional school counselor in elementary, middle, and high school. Dr. Curry has presented her work at over 50 national and 20 international conferences, has published 25 articles in peer-reviewed, refereed national and international counseling journals, and has served as guest editor of "Professional School Counseling and the Journal of Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender Issues in Counseling". She is the recipient of Vanderbilt's Roger Aubrey Northstar award for the counselor most likely to change the field of counseling, the American Counseling Association's Ross… Trust Award for school counseling, and LSU's Biggs Pine Award for excellence in scholarship. She is a past- President of the Association for Spiritual, Ethical, and Religious Values in Counseling (ASERVIC) and is a recipient of their national service award. Dr. Curry teaches all of the school counseling courses at Louisiana State University and integrates career concepts in each course including a 100 hour field internship experience devoted to P-12 Career Counseling in public schools.
Amy Milsom, DEd, is Associate Professor of Counselor Education at Clemson University and the coordinator of the school counseling and clinical mental health counseling programs. She has nearly 20 years of experience as a counselor educator, a middle and high school counselor, and provider of counseling services to children, adolescents, and college students. Dr. Milsom is a past editor of "Professional School Counseling" and has published over 30 peer-reviewed articles and more than 20 book chapters and journal and newsletter articles. Her research focuses on school counselor education and students with disabilities, with an emphasis on postsecondary transition planning and college… readiness for students with disabilities.
