My assignment to seven ships in five deployments found me on the blue water a lot and I would not trade that time. But once finally ashore I found that I was very good at and enjoyed working with computers. Hired by Prudential Financial in Jacksonville, Florida I quickly taught myself and then received training to become Microsoft Certified Partner with the operating system NT 4.0. A year later I had achieved the designation of Microsoft Certified System Engineer and a year after that Microsoft Certified Database Administrator working with SQL databases in an international enterprise system.…  More Prudential was a great company to work with but I realized that the time was right for me to try something new so in 2005 my wife, Dana, and I moved to Georgetown started Friendly Computers of Georgetown.For the first five years or so we concentrated on the residential side of the computer repair business but I saw how under-served the small businesses have become and how increasingly critical are these complex information systems to their daily business operations. So I began to put the skills from the Navy and Prudential to work and we have built the infrastructure to support and further the business critical IT functions of companies from 10 to 100 PC's.
