His first book, "God's Black Sheep Squadron," is a family memoir about his father, Patrick's return home after a long absence.Michael discovered his passion for writing when he began penning daily love letters to his beloved wife, Helen, over six years ago. This loving couple amassed a collection of over 4,000 letters which will someday be passed to their three children.Mulligan's father, a pioneer in the self-publishing industry, is the main character in this emotional story of a broken family that found healing.Mulligan credits his mentors, Peter H. Zindler, Byron Mettler, and fellow members of the Ramona Christian Writers Critique Group for guiding him on his book writing journey."God does not call the qualified," says Mulligan, "He qualifies the called." This special group of writers has placed their footprints on every page of this author's first book, offering comprehensive editing and encouragement along the way.Besides writing, Mulligan loves to play competitive tennis. His team won a league title after finishing an undefeated season with twenty one wins and zero losses.Mulligan is also a publisher of weekly photo ad magazines. His company, Zoom Autos, launched it's first publication on St. Patrick's Day, 2005, with six other business partners.His partners celebrated their six year anniversary on the day "God's Black Sheep Squadron" was born.
