Description:

The Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) Certification is today’s #1 vendor-neutral credential for white hat hackers who want to use network penetration skills to protect organizations against attack. Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) Cert Guide is the first comprehensive study resource designed for CEH 8.0, the newest version of the CEH exam. You’ll learn from widely recognized security author Michael Gregg, a nine-time winner of Global Knowledge’s Perfect Instructor Award. Following the proven Cert Guide format, Gregg covers every exam topic, including footprinting, reconnaissance, system hacking, social engineering, trojans, backdoors, viruses, worms, sniffers, session hijacking, buffer overflow, DoS, hacking web servers/applications, SQL injection, wireless hacking, evading countermeasures, and cryptography. Throughout, you’ll find all the detail, self-assessment features, and sample review questions and exercises you’ll need to fully master all this, and succeed on the exam. This guide’s well-organized preparation system includes detailed lists of exam objectives, linked to chapters and page numbers for quick reference. Chapter-ending Exam Preparation Tasks help you drill on critical concepts; review questions help you assess your knowledge, and a final prep chapter guides you through crafting your final study plan. Features such as Memory Tables and Exam Alerts make studying even easier and more productive. The CD-ROM provides a large library of realistic sample questions, delivered through Pearson’s flexible PCPT testing engine. This edition is also supported by extensive Instructor Resources, including Instructor’s Guide, PowerPoint slides, test bank, and Pearson MyLab.
