Robert Wussler, began his career at CBS in 1957, rising up from the mailroom to become the youngest president of the network at age 40. He was the executive producer and director of special events and during his tenure produced thousands of hours of network programming including the assassinations and funerals of John F Kennedy and Martin Luther King, Nixon's trip to China, and the US space program including the moon landing and the Apollo 11 flight. As Walter Cronkite called him, "he was the big boss." Following CBS, he was a co-founder of CNN and other media ventures.
