Phillip C. McGraw was born in Vinita, Oklahoma, on September 1, 1950. In 1968, he was awarded a football scholarship to the University of Tulsa, but he later transferred to Midwestern State University in Wichita Falls, Texas, where he graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. He went on to earn a Master of Arts in experimental psychology in 1976, and a Doctor of Philosophy in clinical psychology in 1979 at the University of North Texas. McGraw has had twenty-five years of experience in psychology and human functioning. He was also The Oprah Winfrey Show's resident expert on human behavior, as well as a three-time #1 New York Times bestselling author and co-founder of Courtroom… Sciences, Inc., the world's leading litigation consulting firm.
