Jonathan Mooney graduated from Brown University with an honors degree in English. A recipient of the Truman Fellowship for graduate study in creative writing and disability studies, he is also the co-author of Learning Outside the Lines.

Dave, a former member of the United States Air Force, began his writing career doing historical articles for regional magazines before moving to Science fiction. As a science fiction writer he finds inspiration in the writing of golden age authors such as Isaac Asimov, James Blish, Arthur C. Clarke, and Ray Bradbury.
