Jonathan Mooney graduated from Brown University with an honors degree in English. A recipient of the Truman Fellowship for graduate study in creative writing and disability studies, he is also the co-author of Learning Outside the Lines.

Dave, a former member of the United States Air Force, began his writing career doing historical articles for regional magazines before moving to Science fiction. As a science fiction writer he finds inspiration in the writing of golden age authors such as Isaac Asimov, James Blish, Arthur C. Clarke, and Ray Bradbury. Dave lives with Kimberly, his wife of twenty seven years, in middle Tennessee.
