David Boies was born in Sycamore, Illinois on March 11, 1941. He received a B.S. from Northwestern University in 1964, an LL.B. from Yale University in 1966, and an LL.M. from New York University in 1967. He is a trial lawyer, who has litigated numerous cases including Westmoreland v. CBS, United States v. Microsoft, and Bush v. Gore. He is the author of several books including Courting Justice, Public Control of Business, and Redeeming the Dream: The Case for Marriage Equality.
Theodore B. Olson received a bachelor's degree from the University of the Pacific and a law degree from the University of California at Berkeley in 1965. He is an appellate lawyer, who has argued 60 cases before the United States Supreme Court including Bush v. Gore and Citizens United v. Federal Election Commission. He is the author of several books including Redeeming the Dream: The Case for Marriage Equality.
