Professor Marlowe Smaby has been at the University of Nevada, Reno in the Department of Counseling and Educational Psychology since 1992. Previously, he was a Professor of Psychology and Human Service Professions at the University of Minnesota, Duluth for 21 years. He is also a licensed Psychologist and National Board Certified Counselor. Prior to his career in counselor education he was a school teacher and the first elementary school counselor in Wisconsin. Professor Smaby has published many articles in counseling journals and has made many presentations at counselor conventions and was editor of Counselor Education and Supervision for six years.
