Star Jones, lawyer, "diva", and one of the co-hosts of television show The View, was born in Badin, North Carolina on March 24, 1962. She graduated from American University and received her law degree from the University of Houston. She worked at the Brooklyn District Attorney's office and was eventually promoted to Senior Assistant District Attorney. Star worked as a commentator for Court TV and a legal correspondent for NBC, covering such cases as the William Kennedy Smith rape trial, the Mike Tyson rape trial and the Rodney King trial. She is the author of You Have to Stand for Something or You'll Fall for Anything.
