Judith Condon is an American born in Gorleston, Norfolk, England, who became an educator and writer. Condon's formal education includes a B.A. from the University of Warwick, an M.A. in American Studies from the University of Sussex, and another M.A. in Creative Writing from the University of East Anglia. An adult education instructor, Condon lectured at primary and secondary schools before she began writing seriously. In 1989 she wrote Smoking and in 1990 The Pressure to Take Drugs, both intended for 9-12 year old students.
