Dennis Ebersole is Professor of Mathematics and Computer Science at Northampton Community College where he has taught since 1971. His interests include improving mathematics education in grades K�12. Since 1989 he has administered several grant-funded programs for teachers of mathematics to strengthen their mathematical and pedagogical knowledge and skills. In addition to A COMPANION TO CALCULUS, he has authored or coauthored five other mathematics texts. He is a contributing writer for the revision of "Mathematics Standards Before Calculus" in BEYOND CROSSROADS, published by the American Mathematics Association of Two Year Colleges.
