Og Mandino was born December 12, 1923 in Natick, Massachusetts. After high school, he joined the Army Air Corps. Upon returning from service in World War II, he was unemployed. Eventually, he became an editor for a magazine called Success Unlimited. This job was the starting point of his writing career. Mandino went on to write nineteen inspirational titles.
