Ahmad Kasravi (d. 1946) was an Iranian social critic who sought to reform Islam and Iran by purging it of those elements that he considered had weakened the Iranian nation. This volume comprises a translation of Kasravi's text Sufigari (Sufism), and chapters which analyze this text. Furthermore, it illustrates Kasravi's views and discusses Sufism in the modern period more generally.
