Melanie Taylor was born in England, but brought up on the island of Jersey where she went to the Jersey College for Girls, followed by a year long course at secretarial college.Following her divorce she worked as a secretary. An advert for part-time degrees in a local paper gave her the chance to study The History of Art, Architecture & Design as a mature student at Kingston University, Surrey. On completion of this degree, she then completed a Master of Arts degree as a full-time student in Medieval and Early Modern Studies at the University of Kent at Canterbury.Melanie has had two historical novels published by www.madeglobal.com. The Truth of the Line set in the time of Elizabeth I; and… The Walls of Truth, which addresses a possible consequence for the leader of the Nazi regime at the end of World War II. She writes a regular column on Tudor art history for the subscription e-zine www.tudorsociety.com. This is her first foray into a novel set in modern times.
