James Salter is the author of the novels Solo Faces,Light Years, A Sport and a Pastime, The Arm of Flesh (revised as Cassada), and The Hunters; the memoirs Gods of Tinand Burning the Days; and two collections of short stories, Dusk and Other Stories(which won the 1989 PEN/Faulkner Award), and Last Night. He lives in Colorado and on Long Island.

Kay Salter is a native of Beaufort, NC. She taught school for thirty-six years. Books have always been her best friends. Kay has spent her life sharing good literature with her children, grandchildren and students.Kay and her husband, Jimmy, enjoy living on the coast where they swim and fish in the beautiful, clear waters of the North Carolina coast. Their hobby is restoring old cars and attending antique car shows.Since retirement, Kay has spent time making quilts for orphans in Romania through the "Least of These International Ministries." Kay is a life-long member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Beaufort.
