Myrtle P. Bell is an associate professor of management at the University of Texas at Arlington, where she has taught diversity courses to graduate and undergraduate students for a decade. She has degrees from the University of Notre Dame, Louisiana State University, and the University of Texas at Arlington. Her research focuses on diversity and social issues at work, including sexual harassment, disability, age, and weight diversity, surface and deep-level diversity, and effects of partner violence on women at work. Dr. Bell?s research has appeared in leading academic journals such as Academy of Management Journal, Journal of Applied Psychology, Journal of Applied Behavioral Science, and Journal of Vocational Behavior and in numerous edited volumes. She is an active member of the Gender and Diversity in Organizations Division (GDO) of the Academy of Management, having served as the division?s representative to the Academy of Management Council and as a member of the Executive Committee. She is currently the Chair-Elect of the GDO division.
