Raised in a home where dinner was on the table at 6 p.m. sharp and most of it came from the vegetable garden in the backyard, Nol Richardson became familiar with experimentation and fresh ingredients in the kitchen. By the age of thirteen, she had taken over making dinner, and cooked up a storm for her family every evening. She completed her Bachelor of Arts in English and History at the University of British Columbia as well as her Bachelor of Education at the University of Calgary with a specialization in school libraries. After working as a librarian for several years, Nol began an herb farm on Vancouver Island with her partner Andrew Yeoman. Twenty-two years later, they have… created a paradise called Ravenhill Farm complete with a donkey, a goat, some geese and peacocks. In addition to writing books, Nol has taught cooking classes, been a food writer and a restaurant reviewer.
