ROBERT P. MCNAMARA is Assistant Professor of Sociology at Furman University. He has been a consultant for state, federal, and private agencies on topics such as AIDS, drug abuse, race and healthcare, urban redevelopment, homelessness, policing, and gangs. He is the author of several books, including "The Times Square Hustler" (Praeger, 1994), "Sex, Scams, and Street Life" (Praeger, 1995), and "Social Gerontology" (Auburn House, 1998).

Jonathan Clements is a scriptwriter and the author of a number of books, including a history of the Vikings, a biography of Gustav Mannerheim and a guide to the Silk Road.Robert McNamara is currently a lecturer in International History at the University of Ulster at Coleraine and the author of Britain, Nasser and the Balance of Power in the Middle East, 1952-1972: From the Egyptian Revolution to the Six-Day War.
