Nicole Klein has been associated from the early beginnings with the DFG (German Research Foundation) Research Unit 533, at the Bonn Center for Research on Evolution and Biodiversity. Her expertise includes sauropodomorph bone histology as well as marine reptiles from the Muschelkalk (Middle Triassic).Kristian Remes joined Research Unit 533 in May 2004. He specializes in sauropodomorph anatomy, functional morphology, and phylogeny.P. Martin Sander established Research Unit 533. A leading expert in fossil vertebrate bone histology, he is Professor of Paleontology at the University of Bonn.
