Nancy Frey is coauthor with Douglas Fisher of the Heinemann titles Learning Words Inside & Out (2009) and Word Wise & Content Rich (2008). She is a classroom teacher and a faculty member at San Diego State University and Health Sciences High & Middle College. Her work focuses on ensuring students develop literacy across content areas. Nancy and Doug have collaborated on three prior books: Checking for Understanding (2007), 50 Content-Area Strategies for Adolescent Learning (2006), and Improving Adolescent Literacy (2003).
