Arnoldo C. Hax is the Alfred P. Sloan Professor of Management Emeritus at the Sloan School of Management of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He served as Deputy Dean of the Sloan School from 1987 through 1990. During his career at Sloan School, Professor Hax has been the Chairman of the Strategy Group, the Program for Senior Executives, and the Sloan Fellows Program at MIT.He has published extensively in the fields of strategic management, management control, operations management, and operations research. He has authored and coauthored nine books and some one hundred journal articles. An accomplished teacher, he won the Salgo Award for Excellence in Teaching at the Sloan School…
